About the Jordan 11 Retro Playoffs Bred (GS)
The Jordan 11 Bred has to be one of the most iconic Air Jordan 11 colors. It was first worn by Michael Jordan during the 1996 NBA Playoffs, which helped propel him to stardom, earning him another championship and NBA Finals MVP. The Jordan 11 Retro Playoffs in the iconic Black and Red colorway, the "Bred" features a ballistic nylon and patent leather construction that has definitely stood the test of time. A series of ribbons along the side form the model's iconic shape, while the back is embroidered with a striking red Jumpman. Also at the heel you'll find the iconic number "23". When the "Bred" was originally designed in the 90s, Tinker Hatfield actually placed a "45" instead, but then finally dropped the number. Subsequently, "23" was used - a number that literally defined Michael Jordan's career. The high-cut construction gives the sneakers additional support and stability, and the bottom features the signature Nike Air outsole, lined with bright red rubber. This is the Grade School (GS), or junior version.
