Nike x Travis Scott

33 million monthly listeners, three studio albums and 31 years. That is Texas rapper Travis Scott. The Houston native is currently one of rap's most popular artists. And the musical genre that has fashion deeply ingrained in its identity must also include sneakers. Travis doesn't shy away from those either, as the collaboration between Nike and Travis Scott is pretty large.

It all started in 2017 when the first sneaker from this collaboration hit the market. It was nothing else than the legendary Air Force 1 in a new canvas design. A velcro was added underneath the swoosh, so that the branding could be altered, and the laces were decorated with embellishments in the shape of Scott's iconic Cactus Jack logos and Travis' grills. The shoe even got glow-in-the-dark treatment, as the seams phosphoresce thanks to a 3M tape. A year later, a second colorway of the original Air Force 1 was added to the Travis Air Force 1 line, with the upper dressed in an off-white canvas instead of the typical white-leather one, and that was it - no other major changes were made.

Those happened in 2019 when Travis Scott came with an absolutely radical makeover! The sneaker didn't stick to any established tracks and experimented with various materials, prints, tapes and lace covers. The details are very elaborate, the studs in the back are embossed with the initials of Missouri City and Texas, and the sneaker has a very original feel to it.

One of the nicest Nike SB Dunks are the Travis Scott Nike SB Dunk Low. They were introduced in 2020, and they pair the iconic silhouette with a nice aesthetic of natural colors and paisley printing. And now we're missing just the final two pieces of the puzzle. The latest addition to the family is the Travis Scott Nike Air Max 1. These released in May 2022 and the hype around them has been huge. Of the original 5 colorways announced, only two have made it to the market so far, due to the incident at the Astroworld festival. Wheat Yellow and Baroque Brown. Both are worth it though! They are perfect for fans of the Nike Air Max 1 silhouette who also like subtle outdoor elements. The Travis Scott Nike Air Trainer 1 was released alongside the Air Max 1.

Travis Scott's Nike collaboration is definitely one of the best collaborations in the current sneaker world and everyone would love to have a Travis Scott sneaker. But the collaboration is by no means over, and we're already looking forward to new releases.
